TICKET PACKAGES
20 and 12-ticket packages have been on sale since mid-November 2023. They are available to the public and are the best value per ticket.
20 and 12-Packs give the package holder early access to “claim” their tickets. Starting March 26 (the day of the press conference and schedule launch), package holders can log in and use their package credits to select films. This appears as a $0 package ticket, and is available on all screenings and special events.
Doc Soup subscribers also receive a 12-ticket package as part of their subscription. These work the same as the regular 12-ticket packages.
SINGLE TICKETS
Single tickets are on sale to Hot Docs members and Founders Circle members starting March 25, after the press conference.

Single tickets have 3 different price points based on their programming strand. Prices below include HST.
Screening Tickets (regular screenings): $20 ($18 members) [plus HST]
Screening Tickets (Special Presentations): $23 ($20 members) [plus HST]
Special Events: Big Ideas & Opening Night Screening: $27 ($24 members) [plus HST]
6-TICKET BUNDLES
6-Ticket Bundles are basically 6-ticket packages, but the two key differences are:
They are on sale starting April 1, so cannot be used during the early access window (March 26-April 1)
They can only be used to obtain tickets to regular screenings and special presentations. They cannot be used for special events, including Big Ideas screenings and Opening Night.
SAME-DAY TICKETS
Same-day tickets for all screenings are available online and at the Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema box office until one hour before start time of the film.
Same-day tickets are also available at each venue’s box office for screenings scheduled at that venue. Venue box offices open 60 minutes before the first screening at the venue each day. Venue box offices only have tickets for screenings at that venue.
RUSH TICKETS
If a screening’s advance ticket block is sold out, a limited number of rush tickets may be available at the screening venue’s box office 15 minutes before the film begins. Line-ups for rush tickets form roughly one hour before the screening’s start time.
If industry tickets for the screening have been all claimed, a separate INDUSTRY RUSH line will be established and given priority.
FREE DAYTIME SCREENINGS
Students and patrons 60+ with valid ID can take advantage of free admission to Festival screenings that start before 4:00 PM. Tickets are available only at the screening venue’s box office on the day of the screening, subject to availability.
